Chris Gillis
Staff UX Designer
With two decades of experience designing complex products across healthcare and beyond, Chris has built his career transforming challenging problems into elegant, user-centered solutions. From electronic health record systems to business intelligence tools and learning management systems, he brings end-to-end product design expertise to every project. Chris’s work in the healthcare space has been particularly rewarding, where thoughtful design directly impacts efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
Throughout his career, Chris has embraced every phase of the design process—from user research and information architecture to visual design, prototyping, and even some scrappy HTML/CSS. He believes the best solutions emerge when you truly understand the problem first, which is why investment in collaboration with stakeholders and direct engagement with users is very important. He creates design systems that scale across organizations, leads workshops that bring teams into alignment, and champions solutions that actually work for users. Whether analyzing user feedback or iterating on a design that is based on data, Chris’s mission stays the same: create designs that solve real user challenges and deliver measurable results to help grow businesses.
A DESIGN INSPIRATION

AirPods just get out of your way. No pairing codes, no digging through menus, no waiting for that “now connecting” message. You open the case near your iPhone and they’re ready. That’s it.
Everything about them feels natural. Pop them in and your music plays. Pull one out and it pauses. The case has this perfect click when it shuts, connects to your phone instantly, and the whole thing fits in your pocket without you thinking about it.
This is what good design looks like—it anticipates what you want and does it before you even realize you wanted it. AirPods prove that the best interface is often no interface at all, just thoughtful responses to human behavior and above all it just works the way you want it to, when you want it to.
